© scotthockenbery.com 2011 My Wife My wife, Julie, is the true love of my life.  Hopefully, she knows how important that  she is to me.  Men have a  natural instinct to provide for their family. Many husbands  believe that by providing for their family they are  giving them everything they need,  which I try not to be guilty of because I know that my wife needs more  than food and  shelter to know how much she is loved.  I strive to show her, not just tell her how  important she  is, and how much we love her. My Kids Being a parent is hard. There's no two ways about that, as any parent could tell you.  But in many ways, it has  made me a better person.  Because of my children I'm able  to see what actually matters.  They constantly  remind me what's actually important,  they fill my life with happiness, and they give me a sense of purpose that  no one else  can. If I have done nothing else in my life, I have been there for the four little people  who needed  me the most and call me Dad. This, is really something special.
